About
I love vintage pieces and the idea that something can be loved and used once again, maybe by a whole new generation. I enjoy everything retro and wish I was born a couple of decades earlier. I'm creative, shy, and have a conscience.

A great little reference book
This book teaches people how to look after their hair using the curly girl method. It has 17 chapters, mostly the book is aimed at women with curly and wavy hair but includes chapters for curly kids and men, caring for hair after chemotherapy and multi cultural hair.
Lorraine Massey is the pioneer of the curly girl method which advocates avoiding hair care products that contain sulphates and silicones and treating curly hair differently than straight hair with different cleansing, styling and cutting methods. Even if you thought you knew alot already their is different stuff this book covers that is really useful, like instructions for cutting your own hair and recipes for home made hair treatments. It includes a 22 minute DVD that shows you how to do things that are in the book, ie shampoo your hair the right way and styling tips.
However a big part of the book is "curl confessions" where someone will write their own experiences with curly hair. Its fairly typical stuff "I hated my hair, did'nt know how to style it, was teased about my hair, used straighteners" blah blah blah..... Then they all learned how to look after and love their hair. Their are alot of these Curl Confessions in the book, usually half a page but some peoples stories take up a whole page. Massey also uses alot of silly phrases and names for things eg. No-poo, Blow-Frying, Frizz-assist, self-mane-tenance, escape-roots. Which some people might find a little silly.
It really is a very comprehensive book that covers everything you would ever need to know about curly hair. It's very thorough and contains more information than other similar books. I think it's a good reference book and value for money.

Gentle on sensitive skin
I have very sensitive skin and have used cream cleansers but I wanted something different to use in the evenings during summer when my skin was less dry, and I sweated a bit more. It is less harsh than any other soap I have used and leaves my skin clean but not dry or tight. A good product.
