Classic movie
A bit dated but still watchable. Michael Caine plays Michael Caine but does it well. Some of the supporting actors are a bit dodgy, but overall a good movie.

Worth reading if only to see a poorly argued view of climate change
I was very disappointed on initial reading, as I had a high regard for Ian Plimer. It is not written in a scientific perspective, ie dispassionate and orderly review of facts and possible implications. Rather it is a bit of a rambling, disjointed anti global warming diatribe. Often he starts one a particular area, gives fairly reasoned argument and then moves off in a different direction. He makes the occasional telling point, but these are buried in a lot of opinion rather than fact. A bit more scrutiny by the author and editor would have made a much more believable book. As it stands, it is more opinion, belief systems than a value-free discussion of an important area.
