More reliable than normal DIY plugs
After getting the normal DIY solder on DC plugs for different devices and DIY designs over the years, only to have the more recent plugs I have been buying start breaking down (plastic just disintegrating), I thought I'd give these a try. And they were well worth it! Not only do you get properly moulded plugs, the wire is embedded in the strain relief, and there is a decent pigtail that you can then solder onto to connect to to project or lead, so it ends up looking very professional. I have since bought several more of these, and will be buying more in the future as I need more plugs like this. I don't expect to have any issues with the plastic disintegrating this time, as these are made from a more rubbery plastic, rather than the rather brittle plastic of the normal DC DIY plugs.

Excellent value and quality
These fit the 12v 80mm fans I have perfectly. Chrome plating was good - didn't see any chips or flaking. Price was excellent. What else can you say about fan grills?

Extra capacity without making things bulky
Purchased this to increase the runtime of the the Wouxun KG-UV8D, as well as to make sure I had a spare battery for it. The original/stock battery had a rated capacity of 1700mAh, whilst this is rated at 2600mAh. Whilst it may not sound like much, being less than double the capacity increase, it does give the radio a reasonable boost in operation life between charges. It is bigger than the stock battery, but instead of adding to to the length of the battery (like how the Baofeng UV-5R extended batteries do), it instead simply make the radio a bit fatter, whilst still remaining comfortable to hold. This was clearly Wouxun's intention all along (to have a bigger battery as an option), as this fatter battery (still!) fits into the charger cradle perfectly. This battery came in retail packaging with the Wouxun branding, and appears to be a genuine part. I have yet to ascertain if it is really a 2600mAh battery, but compared to the stock battery it adds approximately two days to the continuous runtime of the radio.
