Good when attached to square shaped thick objects.
Good quality construction for the purpose. Best results will be achieved when the clamp is fixed to a thick chunky squared object. Attaching to cylindrical objects will result in the clamp slipping and moving under the weight of the phone. I currently have it attached to the side of my executive desk which is 7.5cm thick (almost the 8cm maximum clamp width).

Handy invention
I do a lot of wall mounting for clients and after watching some youtube videos from America came across these snap toggles. I was surprised I hadn't seem them before. Bunnings has a range of standard toggles with a maximum weight capacity of 20 kilos into 10mm thick gyprock. The test ratings for this toggle is 236 pounds (US testing) into drywalls which is ridiculous if true. I currently have 15 kilos hanging from one of these (testing it out on 13mm thick gyprock) and will leave it overnight. Doesn't seem to be a issue so far so tomorrow will up the weight to 25 kilos and test the breaking strain. I think these toggles are the best hollow drywall option on the market. Finding a stud is obviously the best option but these toggles are the second best option for heavy weight where a beam can't be found.
