Awesome delay and reverb
An awesome delay/reverb, with a stack of very useable delays, verbs, and combinations possible. The shimmer/hold feature is a great bonus, and again, really useable. Quality algorithms in a very well presented, and sturdy pedal. NU-X have a winner with this piece of kit.

B B Boostalike
Good little booster for the money. Obviously not the same quality as the original, but definitely useable, and doesn't take up much space on your pedalboard.

Stacks up well against the heavyweights
As with most guitarists, I'm a slave to tone. We're all pretty much the same, chasing 'my sound' which usually entails spending a small fortune on guitars, amps, speaker cabinets, strings, leads and of course, pedals, pedals and more pedals. And for quite some time now, 'The' boutique overdrive that arguably sits at the top of the pile is Bill Finnegan's now seemingly legendary Klon.
Being of the poorer variety of musician, I can't quite reach the price tag of the Klon KTR (let alone the Centaur) and still buy food, so a Klon clone it has to be. And it seems to me that, Dollar for Dollar, this has to be one of the best Klon clones around.
In the past few of weeks since I bought it, I've tried this up against a friend's KTR and against my own EHX Soul Food with a wide range of guitars. The differences between the two pedals, throughout the entire gain sweep, were rarely noticeable, and even then only barely noticeable.
Just like the KTR, it lifts your sound, whether you're running single coils, humbuckers or any combination of the two. I now run my Klone alongside the Soul Food on my pedal board and being so similar, they 'gain stack' beautifully to give me another dimension again for solos. Rolling the juice back a bit on the guitar doesn't turn my tone to mud either, so chords still ring out like they should.
Straight out of the box, I had to tighten up a few things, nothing major, but once that was done, it was very hard to fault. I even had a choice of 2 colours of chickenhead knobs!... Too cute!
Seriously though, this pedal is definitely up there amongst the upper echelons of transparent overdrives. And with this little monster, you're getting a lot of pedal for a fraction of the price.
