Place a few items on top and it does not spin, these items are not even heavy. Also, the unit comes in two pieces which need to be assembled, very easy task, just match the two and a magnet snaps together, but because the base and top can be separated if you place an item on one side only, making it slightly unbalanced, the completed unit separates, suddenly the food item spills or slides off the glass top, as mentioned before, the item placed on top was not even heavy.
